2. Hosting

I host the contents of my website with the following provider:

Strato

The provider is Strato AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter "Strato"). When you visit my website, Strato collects various log files including your IP addresses.

The use of Strato is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. I have a legitimate interest in the most reliable presentation of my website. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG [German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act], insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) as defined by the TDDDG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

Order processing

I have concluded an AVV (contract on order processing) for the use of the abovementioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that, in the course of this service, the personal data of my website visitors is only processed in accordance with my instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

General information on the legal basis for data processing on this website

If you have consented to data processing, I process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR or Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR if special categories of data are processed according to Art. 9 (1) GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 49 (1) (a) GDPR. Furthermore, if your data is required for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, I process it on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. Furthermore, data processing may be carried out on the basis of my legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Recipients of personal data

In the course of my business activities, I cooperate with various external parties. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external parties. Right to object to the collection of data in specific cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct advertising, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such advertising at any time; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct advertising. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for the purpose of direct advertising (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects shall have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged breach. The right of appeal is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

The competent authority for me, as the website operator based in North Rhine-Westphalia, is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, www.ldi.nrw.de.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that I process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to me as the website operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock icon in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to me cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

This website does not incorporate any online shop, payment services or third-party videos. Currently, no cookies are set on this website.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide specific functions requested by you or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies used to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies to ensure the technically fault-free and optimised provision of her services. Where consent has been sought for the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG [German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act]); consent may be withdrawn at any time.

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser automatically transmits to me. These are:

This data is not merged with any other data sources.

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of her website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send me enquiries via the contact form, your details (name, email address, telephone number) from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by me for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. I will not pass on this data without your consent.

Processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on my legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to me (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this has been requested. The consent can be revoked at any time.

If you wish, you can also attach a document via the contact form (e.g. the text to be translated). Such an attachment will be treated with the same level of confidentiality as an attachment sent directly to me via email. If no order is placed, I will delete the document you have sent as well as the other details of your enquiry.

Technically, the email generated via the contact form is sent via the email server of my hosting provider, Strato (see the "Hosting" section). No separate email delivery service from a third-party provider is used.

When you submit the contact form, a hash value of your IP address is stored on the server for a maximum of two hours to prevent misuse and spam. After this time, it is automatically deleted. This processing is carried out on the basis of my legitimate interest in preventing misuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with me until you ask me to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request by email or telephone

If you contact me by email or telephone, I will save and process your enquiry including all personal data resulting from it (name, enquiry, telephone number, email address, address) for the purpose of addressing your request. I will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In the footer of this website there is a simple link to my profile on the social network Facebook (provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland). This is a standard hyperlink, not an embedded social media plugin. Therefore, no data is automatically transferred to Facebook when you visit this website; a connection to Facebook is only established once you actively click on the link. As soon as you visit Facebook, Facebook's privacy policy applies exclusively, which you can view at en-gb.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.
